Conner Bowman History & Staff

We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Families choose us because we are experts in the field, committed to excellence in service and possess the highest level of integrity.

Welcome to Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home. We are pleased to announce that we are now 100 percent locally owned and operated. The citizens of Franklin County now have another option for a locally owned funeral home.

Flora Funeral Home Rocky Mount Virginia

We have completed renovations to our funeral home and now offer everything on one level. We have moved our arrangement room and selection room to the first floor of the building making it more accessible to the families we serve. The Aurora Casket Company Family Advisor system has been installed. This will give our families the opportunity to see caskets and vaults without going into the selection room if they are uncomfortable. We still offer our full selection room if a family would prefer seeing the caskets in full view.

We have replaced all of the furniture and painted the interior and some exterior of the funeral home and upgraded our chapel. We now offer video recordings of each service and offer video memorials to each family.

Conner-Bowman Funeral Home and Crematory is now open for business on Route 220 at the intersection of Wirtz Road. This is a state of the art facility offering 11,000 square feet of space to assist our families in their time of need. We have the ability to provide personalized service for each family by having the most modern and largest facilities in the county. The County’s first crematory is available on-site. It is located at the main funeral home. There are large viewing rooms, the largest chapel in the county (with seating for up to 200), a separate family room, and a family lounge. Our state-of-the art audio and video systems and instrumentation, including the Allen Organ or Roland Digital Piano, are available to you.

We offer many services, including traditional, cremation, full-service, direct, or memorial services. We will arrange these services for you at one of our chapels, or at a place that you choose. This could be a community center, church, or family home. We can assist with all veteran paperwork, provide Military Honors at the burial site and provide a flag to honorably discharged veterans.

As an added service to the families we serve, we provide a dove at the graveside for each family at no additional cost. This is our way of giving back to each family. We offer the dove release after the memorial service for families who choose cremation. This is done in front of our funeral homes. A video tribute is also available. We do not limit the number of photos that can be saved to a hard disk. This service is also available at no cost.

It’s the little things that make a difference in funeral services. While we strive to provide the best service, listening to and taking the time to listen to families is our goal.

We live by the Golden Rule and strive to serve others. Each family will be treated with dignity and respect.

We have made sure that whatever the need is of the family, we have all of the tools in place to meet that need.

Our dedicated staff of 25 people are available to help at all hours of the day. They have the dedication to treating every family like their own and will do everything in their power to make it a happy occasion. Lynch Conner Bowman and Conner Bowman are the funeral home you choose.

Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home and Conner-Bowman Funeral Home and Crematory are operated as one funeral home offering the same professional service at both locations. Our prices will be the same for both facilities and for those families that have already pre-paid their services at Lynch or Arrington Bussey Funeral Home, you will have the option of using either facility. You have the choice! There will not be any difference in cost to you. Virginia Law permits you to transfer pre-paid funeral arrangements to another funeral home in Franklin County. You will not need to contact the original company for the transfer.

We invite you in to see our changes and always know that we are here to serve in your time of need.

Conner Bowman Testimonials

It is our greatest pleasure to hear from families we’ve served after the service is over. Many people send us emails, letters and cards thanking them for their care and attention in their time of greatest need. These words are a warm reminder that we are here to help.

We are honored to have served your family. Please write your testimonial.

Conner Bowman Funeral Homes deserves a special thank you for their efforts to ensure that our family was taken care of in the final days ….. As difficult as these times are, it would have been even more difficult if they didn’t have caring people !!!!. God bless them all!

Faye Carter

Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral home has been the only funeral home that my family has used for as long as I can recall. Their dedication and commitment to the people has always been their number one priority. My husband of 51 years, J.W. Hall died April 4, 2013. Kevin Bowman held my hand and walked me down the aisle when the service was over. He and his staff treated us as their own family. They were attentive to my needs as well as those of my family. This will always be our number one choice for burying our loved ones.

Alice Faye Hall, Tim, Jody, Casey & Carla Hall

Conner Bowman Funeral Home staff showed incredible support, kindness, and respect during a difficult time for our family. They were able to help us navigate the details with compassion and care for both our immediate family members as well as our extended families. The compassion that was demonstrated after our loss will never be forgotten. Conner Bowman was quick to respond to all our needs. Each detail of the services was well planned, and for that my family will always be grateful. You are a blessing to our community!

Conner-Bowman Crematory and Funeral Home was a blessing to our family at the time of my husband’s death in 2010. The staff carried out all our wishes in such a loving, caring and professional manner and even thought of many things which had not occurred to us. All this made the occasion one we will never forget. You can be assured that someone is always available to help you, day or night. We always felt secure in knowing that everything was being taken care of in a special way. We commend Victor, Kevin and their entire staff for the way in which they ministered to our family and friends during the visitation, funeral, and time following. We are grateful for all of your help!

My mother was diagnosed at Christmas with leukemia. She received chemotherapy and died five weeks later. Our family was overwhelmed and weary from the cancer treatment experience and sudden loss. Conner Bowman’s professional staff responded quickly to our loss and showed us sincere compassion. The process and preparation of services was easy given the circumstances. Conner Bowman saw to our comfort, and took care of every detail. It was difficult to find a better experience during such a stressful time.

Thank you to everyone at Conner Bowman for your professionalism, respect, and the tender care all of you generously shared with my loved ones and me. Victor, you stood by my side through every step of this most difficult process of saying good bye to those who have meant the most to me over my life. There are many decisions that must be made quickly. Your suggestions and comforting words were a great help. I will always be grateful for the kindness, dignity and reverence you gave to all of us.

The staff at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home takes great pride in caring for our families, and has made a commitment to provide you with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one. Our top priority is to honor your loved one. We also offer support during difficult times. Our staff can help families to understand their loved ones’ wishes. We offer a variety of resources that will help you today and in the future.

Online Memorial

We can create a customized, online memorial for you to share with family and friends. The memorial includes the obituary and any photographs you wish to provide. It will serve as a place for visitors to post condolences, share memories, upload photos, and light candles in honor of your loved one.

Tribute Video

We can produce a personal tribute video that can be played at the service and online. We will create a video celebrating your precious memories by simply asking you for the photos. DVDs or digital files of the video are also available.

Flower Ordering

Friends and family can send flowers to your funeral or home to remember a loved one with ease. We have partnered with local florists to offer the convenience of ordering directly from the obituary page of our website. You can also use this feature to select the flowers you would like at the service. This secure method allows you to select beautiful arrangements in the privacy and comfort of home.

Sharing Service Details

This reduces the stress of having to contact people who will need information about the service. The dates and times of service are posted on our website as part of an online memorial. You can then either share the memorial on your Facebook or Twitter page or copy the details from the site into an email or text. You can feel confident that the information has been provided to the right people.

Emails for Daily Grief Steps

We offer one year of free daily grief support emails to the families we serve. We want to be there for our families during the most difficult times of grief.
