Conner Bowman History & Staff

We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Families choose us because we are experts in the field, committed to excellence in service and possess the highest level of integrity.

Welcome to Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home. We are proud to announce that 100 percent of our business is now locally owned and managed. Franklin County residents now have an alternative option for a local funeral home.

Conner And Bowman

We have completed renovations to our funeral home and now offer everything on one level. Our selection and arrangement rooms have been moved to the first floor, making them more accessible for the families we serve. We have also installed the Family Advisor system from Aurora Casket Company. This will give our families the opportunity to see caskets and vaults without going into the selection room if they are uncomfortable. If a family prefers to see the caskets in full-view, we still offer our selection room.

All of the furniture has been replaced, the exterior painted and our chapel upgraded. We now offer video recordings of each service and offer video memorials to each family.

Conner-Bowman Funeral Home & Crematory is now available on Route 220, at the intersection with Wirtz Road. The 11,000-square-foot facility is state of the arts and will be available to our families during their time of greatest need. We have the ability to provide personalized service for each family by having the most modern and largest facilities in the county. We offer the County’s first on-site crematory which is located in the main funeral home, large spacious viewing rooms, the county’s largest chapel (with seating up to 200) a separate family room, a family lounge and a children’s room. We also provide state of the art audio and video and our instrumentation of the Allen Organ and Roland Digital Piano.

We offer many services, including traditional, cremation, full-service, direct, or memorial services. We will arrange these services for you at one of our chapels, or at a place that you choose. This could be a community center, church, or family home. We handle all of the filings of veteran forms, offer the availability of Military Honors at the graveside and provide a flag for all honorable discharged veterans.

We provide a dove at each family’s graveside as an additional service. This is our way of giving back to each family. We offer the dove release after the memorial service for families who choose cremation. This is done in front of our funeral homes. We also offer a video tribute without a limit to the number of photos as long as they will fit on a disk. This service is also available at no cost.

It is the little things that makes the difference in funeral services, such as water at the graveside that our staff hands out, or the warmth of the lap robes that we place on the family during the winter months, the hand fans on those hot days or even opening a door. We strive to give the best service possible, but listening and paying attention to the family is our goal…we welcome any and all requests from the families we serve.

We strive to live and serve by the Golden Rule. We will serve each family with the dignity and respect which they deserve.

We have made sure that whatever the need is of the family, we have all of the tools in place to meet that need.

We have 25 dedicated staff members ready to serve at any hour of the day and the determination to treat every family as if it were their own. The smallest detail makes the biggest difference and we at Lynch Conner-Bowman and Conner-Bowman make us the funeral home of choice.

Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home, Conner Bowman Funeral Home, and Crematory can be operated together as one funeral home. They offer the same professional service at both sites. Our prices will be the same for both facilities and for those families that have already pre-paid their services at Lynch or Arrington Bussey Funeral Home, you will have the option of using either facility. You have the choice! There will not be any difference in cost to you. Virginia Law permits you to transfer pre-paid funeral arrangements to another funeral home in Franklin County. You will not need to contact the original company for the transfer.

We welcome you to come see the changes we have made and to always remember that we will be there to help in your time of greatest need.

We are now proud members of the National Funeral Directors Association, Virginia Funeral Directors Association and the Independent Funeral Homes of Virginia. Locally we are proud members of the Franklin County Retail Merchants Association.

Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral home has been the only funeral home that my family has used for as long as I can recall. Their commitment and dedication to their customers has been their top priority. J.W. Hall, my husband of 51 year was my last. Hall died April 4, 2013. Kevin Bowman held my hand and walked me down the aisle when the service was over. His staff and he treated us like their family. They were attentive to my needs as well as those of my family. This will always be our number one choice for burying our loved ones.

Alice Faye Hall, Tim, Jody, Casey & Carla Hall

Conner Bowman Funeral Home staff showed incredible support, kindness, and respect during a difficult time for our family. They went above and beyond to guide us through the details with care & genuine sympathy for our immediate, as well as our extended family. The compassion that was demonstrated after our loss will never be forgotten. Conner Bowman responded to every need promptly. Each detail of the services was well planned, and for that my family will always be grateful. You are a blessing to our community!

Conner-Bowman Crematory and Funeral Home was a blessing to our family at the time of my husband’s death in 2010. Conner-Bowman Funeral Home and Crematory was a caring, professional and loving staff that honored all of our wishes. They even considered many things we had never thought of. All this made the occasion one we will never forget. You can be assured that someone is always available to help you, day or night. It was always a comfort to know that all our needs were being met in a unique way. Victor, Kevin, and the entire staff deserve our appreciation for their care and compassion during the funeral, visitation, and subsequent time. We are grateful for all of your help!

My mother was diagnosed with leukemia at Christmas, treated with chemotherapy, and died within 5 weeks of her diagnosis. Our family was overwhelmed and weary from the cancer treatment experience and sudden loss. The professional associates at Conner Bowman responded immediately to our loss, giving us their sincere compassion and respect. Given the circumstances, it was simple to prepare services and go through the process. Conner Bowman saw to our comfort, and took care of every detail. We could not have asked for a better experience at such a difficult time.

Conner Bowman, thank you for your professionalism and respect. I also appreciate the tender care you gave my family and me. Victor, you stood by my side through every step of this most difficult process of saying good bye to those who have meant the most to me over my life. There are so many decisions to be made quickly at such a time. Your guidance, suggestions, and willingness to give me the time I needed to make the right choices were comforting and sustaining. I will always be grateful for the kindness, dignity and reverence you gave to all of us.

We have a wide range of resources to support you not only today, but in the weeks and months to come.

Online Memorial

We can create a customized, online memorial for you to share with family and friends. The memorial includes the obituary and any photographs you wish to provide. It will serve as a place for visitors to post condolences, share memories, upload photos, and light candles in honor of your loved one.
