Bonnie Jo Garner

Bonnie Jo Garner was born on September 30, 1939 to former Walter Spears and Josephine Spears, Knoxville, Tennessee; Bonnie went home to glory on the 2nd of June, 2022, at her home.

Participated in Knoxville College and majored in Business Communications. Retired after 20 years working in the retail industry located in Cleveland, Ohio.

Bonnie leaves behind to be cherished her memory, her beloved spouse, Joseph Garner, Sr. and Children, Joseph Lee (Carmen), George Walter (Leslie), M. Joey (Jennifer) Garner; brothers, Wilmer (Gilda), Walter Lamar (Marilyn) and sister Rose (Charles) Turner and grandkids, Kalin (Brittany), Shamicka (Frank) Jones, Christina Garner; great grandchildren, Jalen, Jalia, Chosen and Hope as well as many other acquaintances and relatives; to be included, Dorothy Mills Brice.

A special thanks to Rev. Christopher Davis, thank you for your caring and loving service. Blount Memorial Hospice.

Family will receive guests, between 11:30 and 12:30 p.m. Wednesday 8 June 2022 in Lomax Temple AME Church; funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Rev. Walter Cross, Presiding, Rev. The Rev. Walter Spears, Eulogist.

Bonnie Garner, aged 78, from Joaquin passed away on Tuesday 28 May 2013 at Joaquin Center. She was born on December 17 1934, in Jamestown, Tennessee to Oplis Adam West and Ella Williams West. She was a member at Toledo Bend Baptist Church in Huxley, Texas.

The viewing will take place between 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday May 31st 13 in Watson & Sons Funeral Home in the Center. Funeral services will take place in the 11:00 a.m. on Saturday 1 June 2013 in the Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Jack Forbis officiating. The funeral will take place with a service at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

Pallbearers are Brandon Garner, Bob Holcombe, David Amburn, Ben Webster, Andy Amburn and Jeffery Webster.

She is survived by her parents.

Bonnie Garner of Denton, North Carolina

August 21 23rd, 1943 – 20th July and 2021

Mrs. Bonnie Wray Garner, age 77, of Carter Lumber Plant Road, Denton, NC died Tuesday 20th July on the 20th of July at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

Funeral services will take place at 2:00 4:00 pm on July 24 at the Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel led by Rev. Sandy Young. Burial will take place burial at Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will be able to visit with family and friends from 5:00 to 7:15 pm on July 23, 2015, in the Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.

Mrs. Garner was born August 21, 1943, in Davidson County to Floyd Wray and Helen Carter Wray. She worked as an assistant secretary for the Guidance Office of South Davidson High School. She was part of The Denton Ladies Civitan Club. She was predeceased by her parents, as well as an older brother Diane Paganini.

Her husband James A Garner of the home; her sons, Christopher Allen Garner of North Charleston, SC, Scott Garner and wife Sharon of Denton, Lee Garner and wife Lori of Anderson, SC; brothers Floyd Wray Jr. and Robert Wray of Lexington as well as Robert Wray of South Adams, Mass; sister Kimberly Cranford of Wilmington and grandchildren Josh Kubisz, Ryan Garner, Adam Garner, Caroline Garner, Jenna Garner, Avery Garner, Alyssa Garner, and Jessica and great-grandchildren, Chloe Cox and Liam Cox.

Bonnie Maye Garner, age 67, from Greenbriar, TN formerly of Winchester was pronounced dead on April 16 2022 in the Skyline Medical Center in Nashville in the company of her family. Her birthplace was in Dunlap on the 14th of November 1954 to deceased George W. and Mary Alverne Garner. Bonnie loved pets, Tennessee Football and was an avid participant in video games.

She was a shining light for all of us. Along with the parents she was predeceased by siblings Billy Ralph Garner, Bud Garner, Phillip Garner, Shirley Click, Aileen Starkey, and Teresa Cobble. She remains with her sisters Albert Garner of Chattanooga, George Garner of Ringgold, Ga, Judy Goostree of Greenbriar, TN, Shelia Reeves of Old Hickory, TN, Jerry Wayne Garner of Winchester and the twin of her Connie Culberson of Centre, AL and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews as well as cousins who loved her deeply. A funeral will be scheduled for Tuesday, 19 April 2022 at 2:00 pm at Cowan-Culberson Funeral Home.
