She will be greatly missed by her family and friends as well as everyone else.
Kimberly McMicken Athavale was born on the 21st of July in 1988 with Norman Eddie McMicken and Susan Darlene McMicken. “Kimbo,” as all of her family and friends knew her, is survived by her beloved husband Sanjay Athavale; two daughters Eva Athavale and Lily Athavale her the mother Darlene McMicken; her sisters Christy Nally and Kelli (Dustin) Ross and nieces Kinsey Morgan Emma Morgan, Jaycee Morgan, Abi Lochridge and Molli Lochridge; mother and father-in law Mohini as well as Manohar. She was predeceased by her dad Eddie McMicken; maternal grandpa Johnnie Branton and her paternal grandparents C.N. as well as Evelyn McMicken.
Kimbo lived life to its maximum and then was lost to all of us in a short time. Kimbo’s biggest passions in life were her family as well as her work and her family. Lily as well as Eva will always carry Kimbo’s passion and love for friendship and life. If she wasn’t being with the family Kimbo was a fan of the operating table along with her husband Sanjay. Operating rooms were Kimberly’s home away from home, and it was where she and her husband first fell in love and they will be forever. When she wasn’t at work, Kimbo was a lover of seeing the world through rose-colored glasses. No matter if it was Italy, Mexico, or the Bahamas she was a lover of exploring the globe.

Kimberly Athavale Funeral
A graveside funeral is scheduled for Oak Hill Cemetery, on the 14th of September 2021 at 11:00 AM with Lee Atkins and Josh Horwege officiating. Family members will receive guests the day before, on Monday 13 September 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:15 pm at the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. If you do not want to send flowers, please consider donating towards Cartersville Backpack Buddies or St. Jude.
As pallbearers, they include Dima Kouznetson Eddie Quinones, Neal Pilla, Charlie Hicks, Grant Hafner, Bruce Branton, Paxton Russell along with Ben Delahoyde.
After the burial service, the family will celebrate to mark Kimberly’s life In the Woods Wedding and Events Venue 2173 Cartersville HWY, Rockmart, GA 30153. All are invited to participate for the burial service as well as the celebration of Kimberly’s passing.
